pasta unsalted butter flour whole milk cajun seasoning hot sauce (trust me!) white cheddar gouda gruyere cream cheese buttery crackers

Melt butter and whisk in flour a little at a time. Whisk until add the lumps are out and mixture is smooth.

Whisk in warmed milk a little at a time until all milk has been added and mixture is smooth.

Add in seasonings, hot sauce, and cheeses. Stir until everything is melted and incorporated. You will be left with a thick and creamy sauce.

Fold the cooked pasta into the creamy cheese sauce until all mixed together.
