Easy Blackened Shrimp

Ingredients

Shrimp, butter, paprika, salt, oregano, onion powder, pepper, ground thyme, lemon and parsley

Combine all ingredients for Cajun blackening seasoning and mix well. 

Peel and devein shrimp. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. You can save the shells for making shrimp stock!

Toss peeled shrimp in the blackening seasonings to coat well. Preheat a skillet over medium high heat. Melt butter in the skillet. 

Sear seasoned shrimp about 2 minutes on each side, until just cooked throughout. Use a pair of tongs to make flipping easy. 

Serve blackened shrimp with chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice.
