Basil Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

Fresh basil Pine nuts Garlic Parmesan Extra virgin olive oil Lemon juice White balsamic vinegar Salt

Add garlic to the food processor and pulse a few times until garlic is finely chopped.

Next add pine nuts. Pulse until desired consistency.

Add basil, lemon juice, and white balsamic vinegar. Continue to pulse until basil is chopped to desired consistency.

Tips for the best pesto

1. Use a microplane to grate the parmesan very finely. 2. Don’t process the olive oil. This will cause it to emulsify. 3. The order you add ingredients matters! Start with garlic then nuts to chop them finely. 4. Don't heat pesto. Heating it will change the flavor.
